Installation Guide

Tools & Parts Required

• CarPlay retrofit kit (compatible with your BMW E/F/G chassis and head unit)
  
• Plastic trim removal tools
  
• Pick tool
  
• T20 Torx screwdriver
  
• Ratchet and socket set
  

Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle

For safety, turn off the ignition and remove the key or key fob from the vehicle.

Open the trunk and locate the battery. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal before beginning the installation.

Step 2: Remove Interior Trim

Using plastic trim removal tools, carefully remove the trim surrounding:

• The infotainment display
  
• The radio and climate control panel (if required for access)
  

Disconnect any electrical connectors attached to the trim, such as the hazard light switch or central locking button.

Work carefully to avoid damaging trim clips or interior surfaces.

Step 3: Remove the Factory Head Unit

Remove the T20 Torx screws securing the head unit or radio module to the dashboard.

Gently slide the unit forward and disconnect all attached connectors, including power, antenna, and CAN-bus connections.

Set the factory unit aside in a safe location.

Step 4: Install the CarPlay Retrofit Module

Connect the retrofit module to the vehicle using the supplied wiring harness.

• Connect the main power harness
  
• Connect the CAN-bus cable (if applicable) to retain steering wheel controls and vehicle integration features
  
• Connect the antenna cable
  

Carefully position the module inside the dashboard cavity and secure it using the original T20 screws.

Step 5: Reconnect Power & Test

Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Start the vehicle and confirm that the CarPlay system powers on correctly.

Verify the following functions:

• Apple CarPlay / Android Auto operation
  
• Steering wheel controls
  
• Audio output
  
• Microphone functionality
  

Ensure all wiring is secure and free from pinching or interference.

Step 6: Reinstall Interior Trim

Reinstall all trim panels in the reverse order of removal.

Reconnect any previously disconnected electrical connectors and ensure all trim clips are fully seated for a clean, factory-style fit.

• Heat gun (low to medium heat setting)
  
• Microfiber towel
  
• Isopropyl alcohol
  
• Thermal adhesive or heatsink glue (if required by your kit)
  

Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle

Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal before beginning installation.

Locate the DRL module(s) on the headlight housing. Module placement may vary depending on your vehicle and headlight design.

Step 2: Remove the Factory DRL Module

Remove the T15 Torx screws securing the DRL module to the headlight housing.

Carefully disconnect all wiring connectors attached to the module and LED board.

Keep all screws and components organized for reinstallation.

Step 3: Remove the Existing LED Board

If the factory LED board is bonded to the housing, gently warm the rear of the module using a heat gun on a low to medium setting.

Using a plastic trim tool, carefully lift and separate the LED board from the housing.

Remove any remaining adhesive residue using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber towel.

Step 4: Install the New LED Board or RGB Module

Position the new LED board or RGB module into the housing cavity.

If required, apply thermal adhesive or heatsink glue to the rear of the board according to the kit instructions.

Allow the adhesive to cure fully before operation. Cure times vary by product but are typically up to 24 hours.

Step 5: Reconnect the Wiring

Reconnect all wiring connectors to the new LED board or RGB module.

Confirm all connections are secure and verify proper polarity where applicable.

Ensure wiring is routed safely and will not be pinched during reassembly.

Step 6: Reinstall the Module & Test

Reinstall the DRL module onto the headlight housing using the original T15 screws.

Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Start the vehicle and test all DRL and RGB functions (if equipped).

Verify:

• DRLs illuminate correctly
  
• RGB functions operate as intended
  
• No warning lights or error messages appear on the dashboard

Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle

Park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure all exhaust components have completely cooled before beginning.

Clean the rear bumper and diffuser mounting area to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants.

For additional working space, you may raise the vehicle using ramps or jack stands.

Step 2: Remove the Factory Diffuser

From underneath the vehicle, remove all screws, clips, and fasteners securing the factory diffuser or rear valance. The number and location of fasteners will vary by vehicle.

Carefully release the retaining tabs, working from one side to the other.

Take your time during removal, as excessive force may damage or break the factory clips.

Step 3: Test Fit the New Diffuser

Position the new diffuser against the bumper and confirm that all mounting tabs, clips, and fastener locations align correctly.

If minor adjustments or trimming are required, make small modifications gradually and test fit again before proceeding.

Step 4: Install the New Diffuser

Begin by engaging all mounting tabs into their corresponding locations.

Once aligned, firmly press along the length of the diffuser until all clips are fully seated.

If your diffuser uses screws or additional hardware, install and tighten them evenly to ensure a secure fit.

Verify that the diffuser sits flush against the bumper and surrounding body panels.

Step 5: Final Inspection

Inspect all mounting points to ensure the diffuser is securely attached.

Check for:

• Proper alignment with the bumper
  
• Even panel gaps
  
• Fully engaged clips and fasteners
  
• No movement or loose sections
  

Reinstall any trim pieces or covers removed during installation.

• Masking tape
• Optional: Vehicle ramps or jack stands

Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle

Park the vehicle on a level surface and thoroughly clean the rocker panel area where the side skirts will be installed.

Use isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt, wax, grease, or contaminants to ensure proper adhesion.

If using double-sided tape, apply it to the mounting surface of the side skirt, but leave the protective backing in place until installation.

Step 2: Test Fit & Position

Carefully hold the side skirt against the vehicle and verify proper alignment from front to rear.

Use masking tape to mark the desired position and ensure both sides are installed evenly and symmetrically.

Take time to confirm fitment before permanently securing the side skirts.

Step 3: Secure with Adhesive Tape (If Applicable)

If your kit uses automotive tape, peel back a small section of the tape backing at each end to temporarily hold the side skirt in place while making final adjustments.

Once properly aligned, gradually remove the remaining backing while applying firm, even pressure along the entire length of the side skirt.

Step 4: Install Mechanical Fasteners (If Required)

If your kit includes screws, bolts, or additional mounting hardware, drill pilot holes as instructed.

Install all fasteners evenly and tighten securely.

Do not overtighten, as excessive force may damage carbon fiber, fiberglass, or plastic components.

Step 5: Final Inspection

Inspect the installation to ensure:

• Both side skirts are evenly aligned
• The skirts sit flush against the vehicle body
• All tape and fasteners are securely attached
• There are no visible gaps or areas of misalignment

Allow any adhesive products to cure according to the manufacturer's recommendations before washing the vehicle or exposing it to harsh conditions.

• Automotive-grade double-sided tape (3M recommended, if applicable)
• Self-tapping screws or mounting hardware (typically included)
• Isopropyl alcohol
• Microfiber towels
• Masking tape

Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle

Park the vehicle on a level surface and raise the front end if additional access is needed.

Thoroughly clean and degrease the underside of the front bumper using isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper adhesion and fitment.

Step 2: Test Fit the Front Lip

Position the front lip against the bumper and verify that all edges align correctly.

Use masking tape to mark the centerline and outer edges of the lip. This will help ensure accurate placement during installation.

Take time to confirm fitment before permanently securing the lip.

Step 3: Apply Adhesive Tape (If Applicable)

If your kit utilizes double-sided automotive tape, apply it to the mounting surfaces of the front lip.

Peel back a small portion of the tape backing at each end, leaving the remainder in place until final positioning is confirmed.

Step 4: Install & Secure the Front Lip

Align the front lip using the masking tape reference marks.

If using adhesive tape, gradually remove the backing while applying firm, even pressure along the entire length of the lip.

If mechanical fasteners are included or required, drill pilot holes as instructed and install all screws or bolts evenly.

Do not overtighten fasteners, as this may damage the front lip or bumper.

Step 5: Final Inspection & Cure Time

Inspect the installation and verify:

• Proper alignment across the bumper
• Secure attachment at all mounting points
• Even panel gaps and flush fitment
• No visible movement or loose sections

If adhesive tape was used, allow at least 24 hours for full bond strength before driving, washing the vehicle, or exposing it to extreme weather conditions.
